Outgoing Postcrossings

Good morning my lovelies. I'm getting caught up on letters and postcrossings today. Fortunately, I don't have a big pile of letters to reply to because I've slowly been dwindling that down. I sent two packages out yesterday, but didn't photograph them. One is headed to San Antonio, TX and the other is headed to Lynn in Connecticut. Today is already an awesome day. I have a date night with my husband to look forward to and I'm having a candle party tomorrow night with the girls.

This Postcrossing is headed to Ely, MN
I write: Hello AmyJean, I'm smiling because I loved reading about you carrying on the tradition of your grandmother's gum wrapper chain. Back in the 80's, my cousin made me a picture frame made out of gum wrappers and it's awesome. I still have it. My cousin passed away earlier this year so I am glad I have the frame in memory of him. Best of luck with your project. <3 JarieLyn

This Postcrossing card is traveling to Spain.
I write: Hello Carmen!! :)  My husband and I have lived in Las Vegas for many years but I grew up in Bakersfield, California which is where I hooked up with my husband at a reggae festival back in 1991. We've been together ever since. We are both ready for a new adventure somewhere else. I guess time will tell where we end up. Wishing you much love and happiness. <3 JarieLyn

This Postcrossing is headed to the Czech Republic.
I write: Dear Lucie, Mt. Charleston Lodge is just a short drive my home. They have cute little cabins you can rent for one night or more. It's a great place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Oh, and the air is fresh and smells of pine trees. I love it. Wishing you all the best! <3 JarieLyn

Wishing everyone a happy weekend. I'm looking forward to my date night.

Oh Happy Mail Day

Hello. I hope you all are enjoying your day so far.  I'm headed to meet some friends for lunch and a movie after I write this post. It's so nice to be able to go to the movies on a week day.  As for the mail, I had a good mail day yesterday. I received lots of postcards and a nice swap. See for yourself.

These are postcrossings from the Netherlands, Canada and Russia.
Normally, I would share what the sender writes but I'm skipping it today.

These are postcards from a swap I joined, all from different people.  Funny how they are all vintage cards. I guess that means they took good care to read my profile.

This envelope arrived from another swapper. The envelope is made from a Christmas gift bag. It is so cute. Inside were the notecards that was the main focus of the swap.

In addition to sending me the required amount of notecards, she enclosed a few extras as well as one postcard and a bunch of Christmas envelopes.  This was a great package. The notecards are all nice quality too.

A Postcrossing that arrived in an envelope. Isn't it cute? I must say, this one really made my day. I love it and favorited it on the postcrossing site.

My outgoing mail was minimal. I only sent two postcrossings.

This card is on its way to Rhode Island.
I write:  Hello Nancy! I am JarieLyn. I started my morning by writing for 12 minutes in my journal. It's how I meditate and connect with my higher self. I hope you are happy & healthy. <3 JarieLyn

This one is on the way to Spain.
I write: Warm grettings to you M. I live in Las Vegas Nevada with my husband. It is a pleasure to be sending you a card. My former accountant was from Spain and he used to tell me stories of his childhood there. I loved seeing the gleam in his 80 year old eyes as he remenisced about his days there. He gave me a recipe for Sangria & for Garbonzo bean soup that was passed down from his mother. I miss him. Wishing you much happiness. <3 JarieLyn

Well that's it for today.
I will connect with you all soon.

Monday's Missives

Hello beautiful morning!  Hello beautiful bloggers!
Today is my 19 year wedding anniversary and life feels pretty good right now.
Thanksgiving is next weeek and Christmas is right around the corner, two of my favorite holidays.
I am beaming with happiness and I hope you are too.

Yesterday, I finally managed to write two pen pal letters.
See for yourself.

It's been a long time coming and I am still way behind in my replies, but I am working on it.

That's all that went out, however, I did receive a few Postcrossings.

From left to right, these come from Spain, China, and Taiwan.

The senders write:

Hello JarieLyn, My name is Alba.
I'm 27 and I'm from barcelona.
This is maybe one unusual card to send but since you liked very different things I thought that you would like this one of a typical "chiringuito" (beach bar) in barcelona's beaches.
So winter is coming finally, you must be happy about it.
On the contrary, I dislike cold and these days thinking of Christmas for me means working more days...
Enjoy the holidays because you can!  :D
Best wishes, Alba.

Hello JarieLyn!
Greetings from China!
My name is Hu Yong, a college girl, 21 years old.
I learn geography in University.
I think I am same as you in many ways.
I like watching movies very much.
Once I feel tired, I will watch a film.
I like listening to the music, too.
Music always makes me excited.
I hope you will like this card.
Best wishes for you.

Last night I requested 10 addresses from Postcrossing, so you'll be seeing those tonight or tomorrow.
It took me a couple of hours to complete the postcards.
Hopefully, I'll have another pen pal letter in there as well.

Have a fabulous day everyone.
I'll be having dinner out with my wonderful husband tonight.
I am truly blessed with the perfect mate for me.

A lovely multi-view Postcrossing from Belgium.
The sender writes:
Hi Jarielyn!
Wow, you live in Las Vegas!

Am I right :)
I really liked the little text you wrote about yourself.
you seem to be the kind of person who I would be friend with :)
I hope you like my card.
Maastricht is the city where I go to college and it's in the Netherlands;

I hope some day to lbe able to visit the USA, would be awesome.
