Feul For My Mailbox

Yay, my mailbox has finally been nourished with a couple of pen pal letters and a few postcrossings.

The above letter came to greet me all the way from France.

I love the texture of the paper the letter is written on.

I need to find some of that here.

It's kind of shiny with a linen sort of feel to it.

I love hearing from my pals and what they've been up to.

Everyone has their own unique writing styles and I love them all.

Again, I forgot to photograph the incoming of my Postcrossings but one is an image of a cute puppy and it came all the way from the Czech Republic.

I also receivve a postcard from a swap. (weekly goals). I believe it traveled to me from New York but I am not positive.

I've been participating in a lot of swaps lately.

Here's three separate envies for the same swap. It's a postcard swap where I send 3 unused postcards to each recipient. Of course I threw in a few extras too.

I haven't been to the post office yet so I'm not sure if my mailbox has anything waiting for me or not.

I am expecting two swaps so hopefully those will arrive soon.

Today is a day filled with domestic duties such as laundry, straightening up, vaccuming, grocery shopping, etc.  So far, I haven't accomplished very much.  I've done one load of laundry and that's it.

Time to get my ass in gear.

No more computer, postcrossing, facebooking until I am done with my chores.

I Should Leave Town More Often

Hello friends!

 I woke up a little cranky this morning but the edginess I was feeling when I forced myself out of bed has disappeared, and now I am enjoying my computer time.

Even though it's all ready Wednesday, I feel like my weekend just ended.

My husband and I had a great road trip to California and we were able to spend some time with his mother, my sister and my mother, and none of them live in the same city.

 

When I checked my mail on Monday I was completely blown away.

My mailbox was full of good stuff.

I had letters.

Lots of letters from great people.

I also had oodles and oodles of postcards.

Is it improper to describe mail as delicious?

 

 

This is going to be a long post.

I debated whether or not to post each piece of mail individually and I decided I would.

Unless of course I changed my mind while in the middle of posting.

 

I'll start with the letters first because they made me the happiest.

Her letter was enjoyable to read and she sent me some pictures and some postcards.

It was too good not to show the whole thing.

Pretty stamps, Chinese writing, an English phrase, and a watermark of the paper which leads me to believe that the sender created this postcard with his own photographic image.

I mailed a few items before leaving town and I also sent out some mail yesterday all of which I forgot to photograph.

You'll have to trust me and take my word that mail left my address and is on the way to another location.

It's a Package Deal

 

My mailbox is at the very bottom.

Each time I check my mail I have to squat all the way down, butt practically touching the floor.

But it's worth it when I see stuff like this in my box.

 

 

I received a package from one of the swaps I joined.

(For those of you who don't know, every time I use the word swap, I am referring to swap-bot.com)

All I can say about this is that the woman packed a lot of stuff into this little box.

 

 

This package came all the way from Germany and was for a snail mail swap I joined.

I was thrilled with the contents.

I received 6 postcards, 3 notecards, 2 Christmas cards, (1 with a very nicely written note)

3 lettersets, 6 sheets of decorative paper, a ghost writing pen, heart stickers, and heart and envelope embellishment stickers, and air mail stickers.

Everything was a delight.

I was very pleased with yesterday's mail and I was busy writing letters on Sunday and Monday.

Here's what I accomplished to write and get mailed out yesterday.

That's why I didn't get around to doing a post.

It was late by the time I finished and went to the post office.

Lonely and Dark...........

That was the state of my mailbox yesterday.

Nada, Zero, Zilch.

 

However, just because my mailbox was empty doesn't mean I didn't send a couple of envelopes on their way.

I hope whoever gets it likes all the stuff I put inside.

New Year, New Mail...........

I'm the only person I know who goes to the post office every single day.

 

 

I'm afraid I'll miss out on finding something like this in my mailbox.

 

Yeah, I know it will still be there waiting for me if I skip a day or two.

But I just can't help myself.

 

 

I knew this paper was coming and I wanted to greet it right away.

I wanted to touch it and feel the texture and imagine whose name would be at the top of this paper when I write my next letter.

I still haven't a clue.
