How many of you have not heard about 23andme.com? Well, I had been hearing it advertised on the radio for awhile and I just could not resist the urge any longer to look them up on the Internet and research what it was all about. In brief, it's a DNA testing facility that has the capability to discover your ancestral roots and many different health issues for a reasonable fee. I decided to take the plunge and order my DNA kit. I also ordered one for my husband.
I don't have an actual picture of the kit itself. I forgot to photograph it. Anyway, when your package arrives the first thing you do is go online and register your tube with the number on the bar code. Then, you spit in the tube up to the fill line, then when you close the funnel over the tube it releases liquid into the tube and mixes with your saliva. Then you package it up and put it into the prepaid box you see above and ship it back to them. Then in a couple of weeks or so, you'll get an email with your results. I am very excited to see mine, and I'm hoping that it will lead me to discover relatives I've never met before.
This is a batch of mail that I recently sent out. I've been doing swaps again. I felt like I needed to do swap some mail to get me writing again. So, my penpals, thanks again for being patient with me.
This was from a sticker swap I believe.
Yesterday, I received my business cards in the mail.
I love them. They are a three panel two-sided business card.
Here's what it looks like on the front of the card.
I did not photograph the back of the card.
You will get a chance to see it when I send you one, if you are a pen pal or you are a reader who requests one. The thing I like about these cards is that you can use them as a bookmark too.
Well, that's it in a nutshell.
I'll continue to post different types of things on here that arrive to me via snail mail.
Have a fabulous day everyone.
I am so grateful for you alll.
